We’ve been studying Ephesians several months now and we may have lost track of what Ephesians is all about. So, we’ll do a review of the most important passages. Since we’ve been using the NLT version, I’m going to use the NIV this time.

- you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking. They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts.

- put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness…

- Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.
- Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

- Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them…

- Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery…

- always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

- Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord…
- the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
- Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
- Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy…
- husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies…
- each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
- Ephesians 6
- Children, obey your parents in the Lord…
- Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.
- Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear … as slaves of Christ…
- masters, treat your slaves in the same way…
- there is no favoritism with him…
- be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests...
